Hello everyone, happy Saturday!
Been a busy month, unfortunately. I’ve tried to write as much as I can, but employment issues continue and have taken some precedence the last couple weeks. I’m hoping to have that resolved in May as it currently taking far more time and investment I previously anticipated, but we shall see. In the meantime, the first character sheet has been posted!
Hence the rather obvious title for this update.
So as a refresher or possible explanation for those who didn’t know I planned this, I’m working on some character sheets for the main cast of TFT that will be used as part of the storytelling elements of the game. Currently, there is not much to look at. There you will find information relating to appearance, inventory, and basic info like current health for the character. The plan is to keep those up to date with the story as an additional story telling device befitting the Tales from Tabletop moniker. These are still a new concept, however, so please let me know if there is anything else you would like to see on there.
Also side note, I realized just how little I know about web design. Of course, my knowledge has always been amateurish, but I had a number of ideas to make the character sheets and the rest of the site more engaging that were stonewalled by my meager knowledge on the subject. With that in mind, I do intend to invest in some web design research and practice once I resolve the current employment issues so I can add some fun features and make an overall more immersive experience when reading or reviewing any other content.
Back to the main topic at hand, you can find the character sheets under the Story tab, along with all the other buttons for TFT. I’m planning to update the page with a new character sheet each week, with a vague hope that I will be ready to publish by the time I am done. Once those are done and if I am still working on chapter 4, I’ll add sheets for important side characters, like Jezran, to the current plot every other week.
Long story short, I’m trying to add more content for people to enjoy over time so the site isn’t just idling while I work on TFT or personal matters. There may still be lulls in activity, of course, in which case, I’ll keep my Facebook page up to date as usual with weekly check ins so you at least know I’m still around and working on things.
