New Year Plans

Hello folks, happy Saturday and New Year’s Eve!

We are on the cusp of the new year, so I figured I would take this weekly update to talk a little bit about my plans for the upcoming year.

Ocean’s Heart, Book I of the Tales from Tabletop series, is nearly complete! I believe I will have it completely written before the end of January. After this, I’m hoping to spend a couple weeks going through the entire story with a final “book” edit. I’ll also be formatting the work so it can be released physically and digitally. Current active patrons are eligible to receive a copy of both dependent on their tier, so just another reminder to check out my Patreon if you’d a free copy!

Since this will be my first novel, I cannot speak with certainty on how long that will take. I’m currently estimating I’ll be finished by the start of March. The publish date will soon follow this, so I’ll keep you up to date on my progress! I’ll also be writing a book exclusive prologue to help give some context to some of the elements in the world of Ashar. Hopefully, that can act as a small incentive to buy the book if you want to check it out!

After the book is published, I’ll be at a crossroads. Book II of Tales from Tabletop is already plotted, and I believe I can start work on it right after I finish Book I. However, I could also finally write A Cry from Silence, a sci-fi horror novel inspired by Lovecraftian elements. This is something I planned to write over a year ago that is also finally ready to be written. I want to write both, but I’ll need to pick one I write first. My current plan is to work on both until I see some results from publishing Ocean’s Heart. If Ocean’s Heart is successful, I’ll focus on Book II, if it receives a muted response, I’ll start focusing on A Cry from Silence.

Either way, thank you so much for reading! I hope you all have a wonderful New Year’s Eve and don’t forget to check out Chapter III of Session 10 tomorrow!
