Hey guys, happy Saturday!
Earlier this week, I was notified by WordPress that it has been two years since I first launched this site.
Honestly, it’s hard to believe it’s been two years since I first launched this site. Two years since I first started writing TFT and started this whole journey of becoming a writer. It has been an incredible journey getting here, and I appreciate all of you for following me up to this point!
It feels particularly fitting, though, that this week is the same week I finally finish writing the first arc in my first story. That’s right, folks, Session 12 has officially been written! Now all that’s left is getting everything ready to publish.
Currently, I plan to publish after the final chapter is released on the site, but that will depend on how long it takes me to get everything else finished. While there are a few business and legal items I’m still working on, the big remaining item is what I like to call the “book edit.”
You see, everything written up to this point on the site is basically an early draft of the story. The chapters have been edited and reviewed by myself and several others, but I would not call them finished yet.
The book edit will resolve that.
As the last major edit I will make on the book before publishing, I’ll be going through everything. I’ll be reviewing story beats, characterizations, dialogue, and descriptions, etc.
Long story short, it will be very intensive. I want everything to be as perfect as possible for the release. That extensive of an edit may take time, so I’ll hold off on announcing the exact date for now.
I’ll also be using it as an opportunity to work on formatting, freshen up my notes, and write the Prologue and Appendix that will be included in the final release.
After that, I plan to start work on the Sci-Fi horror novella, A Cry from Silence! I expect it to be around 100-150 pages and I’ll be continuing to release early drafts of the story onto the site.
The only thing that may change that plan is how successful the Ocean’s Heart becomes after I publish. If it sells well, I would rather not keep people waiting on the sequel, so that would be prioritized. If not, I doubt anyone would mind a change of pace before we continue Selene and friends’ journey through Syndramire.
I’ll start work on A Cry from Silence as soon as I’m ready to publish. So be on the lookout for it!
For this weekend, however, be sure to check out Chapter II of Session 11, which will be released tomorrow!
Hope you all have a great weekend and thanks again for all the support!
