Weekly Update: 12/4

Hello everyone, happy Saturday!

As always, hope everyone is doing well. Since this is the first week of the month, my week has been busy. Did not get as much done as I would have liked in writing TFT chapter 4. I did manage to expand on my notes for the chapter to help when I have more time as well as some worldbuilding items that were finally put to parchment, so to speak.

I do apologize regarding my progress in writing these last few weeks. I feel that I am stuck in that one analogy about the putting rocks and sand in a jar, constantly shifting around stones and sands in an attempt to get everything to fit. I feel like the one part of life this analogy fails to describe is the common trouble of determining classifications. Is this a rock, something foundational to my life? Or is it merely sand, a boon that can fill in the gaps between the stones? I believe the struggle is common, but it has affected my writing as other things keep getting in the way, for better or worse. Be that as it may, I am convinced writing is foundational to who I am and that this struggle is caused by disproportional time spent in sand. I should also note that I am far more active in my writing than I was, but a year ago, so I feel I am seeing improvement, and may see real progress in the future.

But hey, that’s just part of life. We should always look forward, trying all the while to get a little bit better, and a little bit wiser, each passing year.

Thanks for sticking with me and hope you all have a great weekend!
