Return from Retreat

Hey folks! Happy Saturday!

Been a while, eh? Seems like it was forever ago I left on my retreat, but now I’m back!

Unfortunately, with less to report than I hoped.

You see, part of this retreat was to see some close friends whom I have not seen in several years. Since I was the only one on vacation, the original plan was to work while they worked, and catch up after they were done with their shifts. God seemed to have a different plan.

Due to circumstances out of our control, our plans changed at the drop of a hat and everything was thrown up in the air. Since these matters were private, I’m not comfortable laying them out here, but suffice it to say it was necessary to put writing aside for the sake of a friend in need.

Do I regret this choice? Not at all!

These friends are very dear to me, and I would not be the man I am today without them. They deserve all the love and happiness I can provide them. And despite, how this all might sound, it was still a wonderful visit that I will be sure to cherish into the future.

To put it another way, this Writer’s Retreat became more of a vacation with good friends. So this means I have not made any advancement on my projects.

Since I’ve returned from the vacation, I’ve been taking the time to reorganize my thoughts and surroundings to better prepare for the work ahead. I’m hoping both the break and the newly cleaned writing study will be all the incentive I need to slam through the remaining writing, editing, and other book related tasks I need to complete to publish.

But we shall see how that goes.

Anyway, that’s all I have for now. Hope you all have a lovely weekend and I hope to have more to share next week!
