November: Prologue in Progress

Hello folks!

Another month is now behind us, and boy do I have news!

Not as much as I would like, but news all the same.

As the title suggests, I have been at work on the Prologue for the sequel to Ocean’s Heart. For those that are fans of Robert Jordan, they might find some similarities with this prologue, as I am attempting to thread the needle on a couple major plot threads that will relevant to both the book and the series at large. There are currently three major scenes planned in the prologue, one of those three is complete.

I was hope to have more done by the time I wrote this, but life has a habit of getting busy around this time period, so I was delayed due to unforeseeable circumstances. Nothing major, mind you. Just the usual suspects for the holidays.

Regarding a current timeline for releasing early drafts, I am still not entirely certain. I want to make enough progress that I am posting about a chapter every two weeks. My hope is to eventually do the same for When Flames Fade, though we will see how that pans out. Once I’ve made sufficient progress that I’m confident I can maintain that release schedule, I will start releasing chapters!

Hopefully, I will have more to say on that matter once the December update rolls around.

I also have been in contact with my cover artist for Ocean’s Heart! It looks like its sadly going to be a longer process than I previously envisioned, but take heart! The reason for the delays are entirely due to quality control. I simply want to ensure my first book has the best cover it possibly can!

I am hoping, however, that progress will speed up as the project progresses. So hopefully I will have more to share on this matter come the December update.
