October: Month of Reflection

Hey folks, been another month, so here’s another update!

So, I’m sure you’ve seen the title, and you’re probably wondering what this means.

Well, to keep it simple, it meant a lot organizing. You see, when it comes to plotting and taking notes for my stories, I often walk a balance between keeping certain elements in my head with certain notes kept to either help jog the memory or to solidify certain thoughts.

As I began plotting out book 2 more seriously, I realized this balance needed some rework. For that reason, I spent a lot of this month solidifying notes, making sure I had key details put together correctly so I wouldn’t spend as much time writing notes in the future.

I also did the same for When Flames Fade, as I intend to bounce between the two projects for the time being.

I’ve also been trying to make headway on my cover, but the artist has not been responding to my emails. This artist was the original artist for my first cover, so I somewhat anticipated this, but that does not make it any less vexing.

All this to say, progress is happening! The book will likely be delayed until the cover is out, but bright side, I should be releasing it both as an e-book and physical copy.

For those interested in an audio version, I’m currently planning to make one. However, it may take some time. I have a setup for recording, but I cannot guarantee consistent quality. So, when I get around to it, I expect it to be a slow process.

All versions of my books will be available here and on my Patreon. I will not be doing any preorders, since I’m not confident I know how to do that. That said, I hope to provide those kinds of options once I have a bit more experience selling my books. Please forgive my inexperience; this is entirely a one-man show, with some additional help from resources I was able to procure thanks to my wonderful patrons.

Anywho, that is all I have for now. My hope for November is to have a release date for Ocean’s Heart and also a release schedule for early drafts of its sequel and When Flames Fade!

Oh, and perhaps something a little extra, but I’m keeping that close to my chest for now. Something to look forward to, if it pans out.

Until then, hope you all have a great weekend and see you next month!
